Follow one export the whole way: time entries plus each task's client code become Customer ID, Work Item, Description, Hours, Work Date — a file billing can use, rebuilt automatically every run.

1Source

Connect your ClickUp workspace — sign in with ClickUp or use a personal API token; either way you pick exactly which workspace the connection reads. Then scope the export: a space, a folder, or specific lists. Pick a folder and lists added to it later stay included.

Choose what one row is: a time entry, a task, a person, or a hierarchy roll-up. The builder shows how each choice multiplies or collapses your rows before you commit.

Select the fields, rename them for the destination, and set each column's format — decimal hours here, a readable duration there, dates the way the receiving system insists. Combine related context: the client code lives on the task, and it arrives beside every one of that task's time entries.

Filter the records, and preview a sample as you work. The preview runs the exact pipeline the file will, so what you see is what exports.

Choose CSV (with delimiter, quoting, and Excel-safe encoding options) or an Excel workbook (frozen headers, autofilter, even one tab per client). Or push the file back into ClickUp as a task attachment. Google Drive, Sheets, S3, SFTP and webhooks are Coming Soon — never faked.

Run it now, or schedule it daily, weekly, or monthly in your timezone — daylight-saving shifts handled. Every run lands in history with its progress, warnings, and the file it made.

Preview, Save, Run, Review — And Edit Without Fear

Every saved change makes a new revision of the definition. Change a date format today and it applies to future runs; completed and in-progress runs keep the exact revision they executed, so your history never rewrites itself.
